On the occasion of the “Green Button Award” event, Bill Gates, Chairman and Chief Software Architect of Microsoft Corporation, and Dario Bucci, Italy Country Manager of Intel, awarded CDC’s Chairman, Giuseppe Diomelli, because CDC Multi Emotion Box Windows Media Center was acknowledged as the best interpretation of Digital Home made in Italy.

The award, promoted by Ernst & Young in order to celebrate excellence and characteristics of the Italian entrepreneurs, represents an important reward for work carried out by Giuseppe Diomelli, pioneer of Italian new economy in the 80's, when the IT market in our country was in a very beginning stage.
 
Fibonacci Prize

Pisa, June 25th, 2000 -
Giuseppe Diomelli, founder and president of CDC, is the first Tuscan entrepreneur to be honoured by the Fibonacci Award. This acknowledgement, created by the Institute of Economic Financial Studies, annually honours the entrepreneur who is most innovative in the application of the new technologies.

 
Philip Kotler Award

Philip Kotler has presented an award to CDC Point, the Italian number one in the distribution of microcomputers, for the best marketing plan devised in our country during 1996.
The presentation of the Philip Kotler Award was carried out during the
Kotler milanese marketing convention, organised by the ISEM European
Marketing Institute.
The trophy was presented directly by Kotler to CDC's President Mr. Giuseppe Diomelli, who thanked all his partners and collaborators who had worked to achieve this great success.

 
Internet Key Award 2000

After the assignation of the PC Magazine IT Award a few weeks ago, a new award for CDC Group: the web site www.cdcpoint.it has won the Internet Key Award 2000 in the e-commerce B2B category.
The event was organized by MEDIAKEY. The ceremony took place in Milan June 6 at Teatro Nuovo. Digitally Channel Italia will transmit the event via satellite in Italy, Europe, USA and Canada.
